Herman Szeto, D.C., is a senior practitioner with over 30 years of experience in chiropractic care.

He grew up in Canada and studied science at the University of Alberta. He later completed his chiropractic education at Life Chiropractic College West in California, where he graduated with honors and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

Dr. Szeto is a member of the Hong Kong Chiropractors Association and is a registered Doctor of Chiropractic in Hong Kong (China). He is fluent in English and Cantonese, with a good understanding of Chinese.

During his time in Hong Kong, he established practices in the Central district and Discovery Bay. Since January 2011, he has been providing chiropractic consultations and treatments at multiple health facilities across Shanghai and surrounding areas.

A range of treatments - including soft tissue therapy, joint manipulation, and postural correction - are used to relieve back pain and improve overall posture. Gait analysis is also performed to identify posture- or movement-related issues in patients with injuries. To support posture correction, custom-made orthotics imported from Hong Kong are available.

Foot orthotics are precision-designed supportive and corrective insoles used to help manage:

  • Foot, heel, ankle, knee, thigh, and lower back discomfort

  • Flat feet and related structural issues

  • Heel spurs and plantar fasciitis

  • Metatarsalgia and Morton’s neuroma

  • Hallux valgus (bunions)

  • Shin splints

  • Knee conditions, including patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner’s or jumper’s knee), ligament injuries, meniscus (cartilage) injuries, and arthritis

  • Foot conditions associated with diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis
